Connecting your Amazon Seller Central account unlocks extra ASIN insights inside your projects and keeps the data on your tracked ASINs refreshed automatically every day.
It's optional. Your projects, keyword data, and most of the platform work regardless of whether you connect. But connecting adds parts of a project that stay locked otherwise, and it's worth doing if you want a fuller picture of how your ASINs are performing.
What connecting unlocks
Two parts of a project become available once you connect:
The three ASIN widgets at the top of the ASIN page: average price, average reviews, and average rating.
BSR rank history in the Ranks section.
Your tracked ASINs stay up to date
Once you're connected, Datarova checks every ASIN on your projects each day and refreshes its BSR, latest price, and latest images using Amazon's official APIs. Your data keeps reflecting what's actually happening on Amazon instead of going stale.
Which marketplaces a connection covers
When you connect a Seller Central account, Datarova gets access to every marketplace in that account's region, not just the one you signed in with. So you only need to connect once per region:
North America: connecting any account here covers the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Europe: connecting any account here covers the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy.
If you have projects in both regions, connect one account in each and you're covered everywhere.
Connect your Seller Central account
Go to Settings → Connections.
Find the Amazon Seller Central card under Available Connections and click Connect.
Select the Region that you want to connect.
Sign in to Amazon and confirm the connection on the Login with Amazon consent screen.
That's it. Datarova will start pulling data for your tracked ASINs, and the unlocked sections will appear on projects in that region. The first sync may take a few minutes.
Is your data safe?
The connection runs through Amazon's standard Login with Amazon consent screen, so you authorise Datarova directly through Amazon and can review what you're approving before you confirm.
Datarova uses the connection to read the product data it needs (the BSR, latest price, and latest images for your tracked ASINs) and to run the daily refresh.
You stay in control. You can disconnect at any time (see below), which stops Datarova's access.
Does it cost anything?
No. Connecting is free and doesn't use any of your Amazon API quota.
Disconnect
To disconnect:
Go to Settings → Connections.
Under Active Connections, click the menu icon in the top right of the card you want to disconnect.
Click Delete.
Disconnecting stops the daily refresh and removes the unlocked sections from your projects. You can reconnect at any time.
